Year 5 Mill Rythe Trip - 25th/26th June

Year 5 are currently away at Mill Rythe and are having an absolutely fantastic time. On arrival we were met by our friendly JCA representatives who showed us where to stack our cases; then we could sit and have our lunch.

Shortly after lunch we were split into our groups and were assigned a JCA team leader who would be taking each of our activities.

Many of the activities that we have currently completed are: raft building, climbing the gladiator wall, buggy building and climbing - each of these have been challenging and have involved us all. The children have shown great team work, courage, determination and resilience. they are a credit to our school and their parents

This morning we had a walk (8.9km in total) to Hayling Island beach where we were able to have some fun on the beach, explore the gift shop and have amazing ice creams - they were delicious.

Currently we are all at a campfire, singing songs and eating tasty marshmallows.

All the children are having a great time with lots of new learning experiences and will return home with some lasting memories.
