Year 5 Survival Project

This week year 5 were focusing on survival.  The children had to write a descriptive piece of writing to illustrate how to survive in either the desert, the rainforest or the ice cold.  Part of their learning the children were taken into the Trim Trail (forest area of the school) to look at the natural environment and the materials they would use in order to survive.  Year 5 built shelters and filtered dirty water out of natural materials.  Not only were the teachers proud of what they children managed to produce, but they showed extraordinary team work.  Please see photos under 'Classes' 'Year 5'.
