Year 6 Isle of Wight Trip - Day 1

Year 6 have been enjoying Day 1 of their residential trip to the Isle of Wight. Today started with a chilled ferry crossing to Cowes. From there, we went to Sandown to visit Dinosaur Isle, a museum dedicated to all things Dino. There we saw some amazing fossils, skeletons and robot Dinosaurs!

After that, we went fossil hunting on Sandown beach with our own paleontologist to give us a hand. We did find some actual Dinosaur bone fragments but we also found a lot of fossilised Dinosaur poo!

This evening we had some lovely chilli con carne and unwound by playing a game of football. All the kids are now getting ready for their first night away and everyone is looking forward to tomorrow's adventure!
