Year 3

The 'Learning at Home' provided in each year has been divided into weeks. The suggestion is that all children work through each weeks learning and can add or substitute 'Foundation Subject Tasks' as they wish. Many parents are making use of the 'Learning Timetable' to help structure their day. If you have any other questions, please do not hesitate to contact your class teacher directly using the class emails below.

We are coming to the end of what has become a particularly strange year. Before we start our last project, we would like to say how proud we are of all of you. At every Zoom call, we have been presented with smiling faces and children who are keen to share their learning. Although we only have a few weeks left, we need you to keep this up as well as sending us your fantastic learning via email.

Our final project of this year is based on plants. We will begin to understand the purpose of plants and how they continue to reproduce.

Keep up the great learning!

Year 3 team.

Maths
Quick, easy to do activities that provide  fun ideas to get children practising  their computational thinking skills. These are split into the six computational thinking concepts: algorithms, abstraction, evaluation, decomposition, pattern and logic.  These activities can be done by yourself, with an adult or a sibling. Have fun problem solving.
